BLOG: iPad is still in demand

iPad demandOn January 27, 2010 during the official presentation in San-Francisco Steve Jobs, the CEO of the Silicon Valley high-tech giant Apple, unveiled a new leading-edge device - touch-sensitive flatbed tablet computer - iPad.

As early as April customers in the US were the first ones to test and enjoy the numerous benefits which this entertainment and business productivity devise had been promising. On the first day of distribution approximately 300,000 iPad units were sold. In comparison to the other world-famous and sales-record beating iDevice, the iPhone, iPad crossed the 1-million landmark in half the time.

Regardless of the initial success, the innovation hunters’ interest in the iPad hasn’t abated even six months after its release. Today, despite constant production volume increase, Apple is still failing to keep up with the iPad demand and market experts have to revise iPad demand forecasts upwards every other day. However, the latest figures are suggesting that supply is finally starting to catch up with the demand. Let's see if Apple can cope with the fast approaching Christmas season and its accompanying increased expenditure on high-tech gadgets.
